Mark Hayward (with Erik Aberg, Warren Hammond, & Jay Gilligan)--"Where Do Ideas Come From?"

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

Skill Level:  Mixed--Something for everyone

Description:  Whether you’re designing a juggling routine or the next big thing in men’s footwear, the creative process always starts with ideas. The purpose of this workshop is to help people access their creativity and understand how creativity works. The focus will be on answering the question “where do ideas come from?” Mark Hayward, Warren Hammond, Erik Åberg and Jay Gilligan will talk about their creative processes, and help you figure out how to improve your own idea generation. Fantasy of suffering artist alone in a quiet room. It does happen, but is not most people’s experience

You are both a creator, and an editor.

Ideas come from everywhere.

Understand the rules before you can break them effectively

Grab on to your process, and use it

Conscious choices

Limitations/constricting as a creative tool.

Necessity is the mother of invention

Embrace YOUR process (or processes), and celebrate how different our minds are.

Creativity is work. Practice, practice, practice!
